Privacy First & Data Transparency

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 5, 2026 • Last Updated: August 5, 2026

1. Privacy-First Architecture

RoomDraw (roomdraw.app) is engineered with a strict client-side execution model. Your room layouts, wall dimensions, furniture placements, and floor plan drafts remain strictly inside your web browser. We do not harvest, track, sell, or upload your room designs to proprietary servers.

2. Google Drive Integration & Limited Use Policy

If you choose to use the Google Drive cloud save feature, RoomDraw requests restricted authorization using the official Google OAuth 2.0 scope:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file
Restricted Folder Scope: RoomDraw strictly creates and accesses files inside a dedicated folder named RoomDraw Projects in your Google Drive.
No Access to Personal Drive Files: RoomDraw CANNOT read, access, search, modify, or delete any of your personal Google Drive documents, photos, spreadsheets, or folders.
Compliance with Google API Limited Use Requirements: RoomDraw's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. Real-Time Collaboration & Peer-to-Peer Privacy

Live multiplayer collaboration operates over WebRTC peer-to-peer data channels. Active peer cursors and live wall edits are transmitted directly between connected browser sessions. Floor plan data transmitted during live collaboration is not recorded, analyzed, or retained by external servers.

4. Browser Local Storage & Device Rights

RoomDraw uses standard browser IndexedDB and localStorage to persist your project drafts locally so you can continue editing offline. You can clear or delete your local project storage at any time directly through your browser settings or by clearing your browser cache.
